Character-driven illustration is by far my favorite genre of commercial art to work in. This particular illustration, titled Jerry the High Flying Bear, was completed as part of a school project series in Color Theory. For the illustration, the goal was to create “cut-out” shape vector images that could be arranged to create a cohesive scene. While this style of illustration is not necessarily representative of my personal style, this piece is demonstrative of my versatility as an illustrator. Jerry the High Flying Bear and its associated piece, Bears on Boards, were featured at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta in 2018 as part of a SCAD-Atlanta collection of activity-themed art work.
